A Shiba may be placed in a foster home to receive care until we find a match with an adoptive home. Since we have no shelter facility, foster homes are the backbone of our adoption program.

The foster caregivers treat each dog as a family member. In foster, the dog can be assessed for temperament and personality as well as compatibility with other pets and children.

When we are not able to match the dog with an adopter from our waiting list or if a match can't be found, we list the available Shiba on our web site.
